You may not have heard the news. But Governor Cooper just vetoed funding for the Opportunity Scholarship Program.
Currently there are approximately 55,000 students waiting for their Opportunity Scholarship. But Governor Roy Cooper would rather kowtow to the teachers unions than help NC students get a better education.
We’re hoping the legislature will override the governor’s veto. But, we need to make sure that the people being hurt by Governor Cooper aren’t just numbers.
