Dear John -- Over the last several weeks, we have amplified our efforts to share stories from around the world to inspire joy and connectedness. The overwhelmingly positive feedback we’ve received has confirmed our faith in the resilience of the LGBTQ+ community and the steadfast truth that we are in this together. Many young LGBTQ+ people are experiencing intense isolation protocols and are separated from supportive peer networks. Although current circumstances may prevent us from engaging face-to-face, we still have the ability to connect. The It Gets Better Project bridges that gap by providing an arsenal of informative and uplifting content; offering access to a wealth of local, national, and global direct service providers; and serving as a 24/7 reminder that no one is truly alone. Today is #GivingTuesdayNow, an opportunity to invest in the organizations that work day and night to make our world a better place. We understand things are difficult and finances are stretched. But, if there ever was a time to invest in community, it's now. Life powers on, and the disparities young LGBTQ+ people face, like higher rates of depression and anxiety, are only exacerbated in times like these. Our end goal simple: a world where all LGBTQ+ young people are free to live equally and know their worthiness and power as individuals. Be well, and thank you for all you’ve done to support LGBTQ+ young people everywhere.
