John,

I know this is likely one of the many emails you will get today, but I want to start off your day by saying thank you.

What you are doing right now—whether you are taking care of your family and friends, working an essential job, providing direct relief for your neighbors, or just trying to keep your head up during these difficult times—matters. We all have a role to play in keeping each other safe and and laying the foundation for our communities to rebuild.

If you want to make a lasting difference [[link removed]] in immigrant communities and communities of color hit hardest by the coronavirus, then we need to work together to welcome a new generation of leaders into office—from town halls to state legislatures to Congress. If you believe we need to rebuild our country and create systems based in equity, compassion, and common sense, then help us prepare more immigrants, women, and people of color to run, win, and lead. We can only do it with your support . [[link removed]]

Now especially in this time of pandemic, we need more people who have been close to the pain to serve in positions of power to fight for resources, shine a light on racism, and champion policies that create a more just, inclusive democracy.

Every day, NAL is training passionate new leaders to run and supporting those already in office to help them succeed. You can be part of this movement. Will you please make a gift of $25, $50, $100, or whatever you can this #GivingTuesdayNow? [[link removed]]

No matter what actions you take today for #GivingTuesdayNow [[link removed]] , please know how grateful the entire NAL Team is for you and your willingness to be a member of our network. Sending my profound gratitude for your commitment to our movement and the acts of service you partake in every day.

Sincerely,
Sara Le Brusq
