Dear John,
Imagine a future without factory farms—barns converted into greenhouses with raised beds full of tomatoes, mushrooms, pole beans, or microgreens. With your help, this can be the next revolution in sustainable farming.
For decades, Big Meat has exploited animals, our environment, and American farmers for profit.
Many farmers want to leave this oppressive industry but are weighed down by debt. The cost of reinventing their farms is beyond their means.
Fortunately, initiatives like The Transfarmation Project® support farm transitions. Now it's time for the government to promote a sustainable food future.
Rep. Alma Adams (D-NC) and Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), joined by Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA), just introduced the Industrial Agriculture Conversion Act (IACA) of 2024 in the House and Senate. The IACA provides farmers with a chance to leave factory farming. This bill would benefit farmers and spare farmed animals a lifetime of suffering.
Here's what the bill includes:
- Farm transition grants: The IACA would give farmers funds to make the switch from raising animals to growing plants.
- Commitment to transitioning: Participating farmers would commit to ceasing their involvement in factory farming.
- Empowerment of farmers: The IACA would support farmers on their journeys to eco-friendly agriculture.
