APRIL 2023 - Armed fighting breaks out in the capital of Sudan, Khartoum, between the Sudanese military and Rapid Support Forces. Within the first 48 hours of the war, MSF treated 136 wounded patients.

JUNE 2023 - MSF-supported Bashir Teaching Hospital in Khartoum treats over 1,000 patients in the emergency room amidst persistent attacks on hospitals and staff.

AUGUST 2023 - Every day, 2,000 people arrive in Adré, Chad fleeing the deadly conflict in the Sudan. MSF provided support in the Adré hospital and a clinic at Camp Ecole, carrying out 400 consultations per day.

JANUARY 2024 - Nearly half a million people from Sudan have fled to Chad seeking safety. In Adré, MSF delivers 500,000 liters of water daily for displaced people living in refugee camps.

JULY 2024 - Violence forces the MSF team at Turkish Hospital in Khartoum to evacuate. In six months, MSF admitted over 10,600 patients in the ER. MSF continues to provide vital care at another hospital in the city.

NOW - MSF continues to call for all warring parties to ensure the protections of civilians and health care in Sudan.
