Hi John,
Last week, I did an interview with Rolling Stone to talk about DACA, and my position as the only member of Congress coming from a mixed-status household.
Today, I want to show you my personal stake in comprehensive immigration reform by sharing my husband's story. Before I do, special interest groups are working hard to keep me from pushing the needle on this issue. Will you help me defend my seat in Congress with a donation today?

John, I've talked about my husband before: he came here when he was just 14, and worked hard to help his family make ends meet.
He doesn't talk about this often, but he tried to come into this country four separate times before he finally made it. While it was one of the most difficult things he's ever had to do, we're both so happy to see him thriving now.
Today, he's got his Bachelor's in Psychology, he's a business owner who can pay his employees a living wage, and I, for one, am so proud of how hard he's worked to get here.
But that won't stop MAGA Republicans from continuing to use people like him as scapegoats for the problems that they refuse to address.
As the only member of Congress from a mixed-status household, I understand these issues better than anyone else. But it's going to take real work to make sure I can continue to advocate for this issue in Congress.
Here's the deal, John: I'm being targeted by the same groups who won't hesitate to work with MAGA extremists to make our issues at the southern border worse. I need your help — will you support my reelection campaign with a donation of any amount you can spare?
