Plus: calls for resignation ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Hi John,

I've just published a new blog post:
[link removed] Meant to Fly [link removed]

Newsom has vetoed a bipartisan bill to hold him accountable for homelessness spending. This comes after an audit that I requested in 2022 - and Assemblyman Josh Hoover got approved last year - found he "lost track" of $24 billion.

There's more about Newsom, but first, some major events in DC. I cross-examined the head of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) about frivolous fines and actions he's taken against SpaceX to delay its historic Starship launch. The video [link removed] has now been viewed 25 million times.

Administrator Whitaker gave blatantly false testimony in response to my questions, prompting SpaceX CEO Elon Musk to call for his resignation. I've sent Whitaker Questions for the Record [link removed] to explain his falsehoods and I rose on the House Floor [link removed] to question his fitness to lead the FAA.

This episode has highlighted the bureaucratic ineptitude that is holding our country back. In this case, it's stopping innovation and threatening our edge over China. Making our government less bureaucratic, and pro-innovation, is an urgent priority for the next Congress and Administration.

But back to Newsom. My Floor Speech [link removed] about his unconstitutional attempt to ban parody and satire - and his threats to sue over parodies

**about himself** - has yielded new levels of ridicule. It's no coincidence that parody is being banned by a governor who is a walking parody of himself.

I also highlighted [link removed] how California was already a Sanctuary State that gave free healthcare to all illegal immigrants, yet this year the Supermajority upped the ante, offering unemployment benefits and $150,000 in housing assistance.

In contrast to the insanity in Sacramento, we're passing legislation that is actually needed. This week, I helped pass a measure in Judiciary to protect victims [link removed] of human trafficking. And a landmark bill [link removed] I'm sponsoring to protect Lake Tahoe passed the House and will soon become law.

Ballot go out in 1 week. Help me Win. [link removed]
