Now more than ever, PRA breaks through the noise—and the fear—with thorough research, sharp analysis, and strategy-building movement partnerships that are fortifying a broad and growing alliance to block authoritarianism and build a truly inclusive and accountable democratic society.

Anti-democratic actors seek a total abortion ban, the roundup and mass deportation of over ten million immigrants, deployment of federal troops to put down racial justice and pro-democracy protests, the end of marriage equality, persecution of trans people, and repression of worker organizing.

In 2024, nearly half the states in the union have become laboratories for these regressive policies—this authoritarian playbook. Regardless of what happens in the November elections, we must address the reality of authoritarian acceleration on a scale not seen since the days of Jim Crow.

Our job is not merely to slow authoritarianism down, or even to stop it in its tracks. Our responsibility is to build a movement for a radically inclusive and just society so powerful it launches a new progressive cycle in U.S. history. A cycle that establishes multiracial, feminist democracy as the American norm, the American future.
