We are thrilled to announce the Action for Transformation Fund, an initiative dedicated to supporting trans-led organizations with a total of $1 million in Rapid Response funding. This is a pilot initiative to empower trans-led organizations weaving the future into the present through their visionary work. This fund arrives at a critical political moment, as we witness the rise of authoritarianism and increased backlash on Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) and LGBTQ communities. We know that we are the ones we've been waiting for. This initiative honors the inherent wisdom of trans communities who are weaving the future into the present through our visionary work.
Why This Matters
Our communities need rapid-response dollars now more than ever, and we are here to support you. Partnering with the Emergent Fund, we are ensuring that the most marginalized trans communities get the resources they need to continue their life-saving work.
What You Need to Know:
Total Funding: $1 million
Grant Sizes: Vary, with an average of $10,000 per grant, disbursed within 2 months
Eligibility: 501c3 organizations and fiscally sponsored groups
Priority: BIPOC trans-led organizations, especially those in the South and Midwest
Applications are now open! Please note: Transgender Law Center is collaborating on the fund, but will not be in charge of making funding decisions.
