Save the date: national demonstration at RAF Lakenheath, 2 November

The next national demonstration against the return of US nuclear weapons to Britain will take place on Saturday, 2 November, outside the main gate of Lakenheath airbase in Suffolk. We are calling on supporters to join us for this important protest at what is a key part of NATO's nuclear mission in Europe.

This demonstration follows the two week peace camp and 24/7 vigil held in July by the Lakenheath Alliance for Peace - a grassroots network of local, national, and international peace groups. Monthly vigils are now taking place outside the main gate of the base and this demonstration marks a further ramping up of that campaign ahead of another peace camp next spring.

We are honoured to be joined on the day by Melissa Parke, Executive Director of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN). More speakers will be announced shortly.

  • Saturday, 2 November
  • Main Gate, RAF Lakenheath, Brandon Road, Suffolk

More details will be posted to our event page here. Please start making your travel plans and get in touch with us if you are organising transport so we can publicise.
