Hi John,
Thank you for your faithful partnership in ministry as we go to the toughest places to share the help and hope of Jesus. Your prayers and generosity make a significant difference in the lives of many unreached people. 
Recently, I came across this quote from the famous Christian author, C.S. Lewis. “Relying on God has to begin all over again every day as if nothing had yet been done.”
Every day I wake up realizing I need God’s help afresh to do the work set before us. It is hard to see people suffer. It is challenging to get aid into tough places.
But God has a remarkable way of working — opening unexpected doors for ministry, turning hard things into meaningful moments, allowing unreached people to experience hope. 
Just this week we’ve been fervently praying for the conflict in the Middle East. And today a brutal storm is sweeping through the Southeastern United States. Thank you
for praying alongside us as, together, we seek to relieve suffering in the toughest places.

As you may know, Unto is a Cru® ministry, and next week, Cru has a dedicated day of prayer. Twice a year, Cru staff all over the world set aside a day to pray.

In preparation for our Day of Prayer on October 1, I wanted to ask: how can my team and I pray for you?

As our team brings requests before God for people in tough places, we would like to pray for you too. Perhaps you have been praying for something for a long time. Maybe you just received unexpected and unwelcome news. If things are going great, that’s great! I’d love to hear about it and rejoice with you.

Whatever you are facing, could we pray for you?
