A recent study shows that even a tiny increase in fine particulate matter air
pollution increases death rates from COVID-19. And the hardest hit are
low-income communities and people of color, who are disproportionately exposed
to pollution.

Now, Trump is making the problem worse. With a highly contagious lung disease
raging, his administration has taken actions to allow even more air pollution
into our communities.

Mike and Gina McCarthy, former administrator of the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency, explained today why these actions are so dangerous. Read

The Trump administration has mounted a slow and inadequate response to
COVID-19 -- but they've wasted no time trying to help polluters. In the last
month, the administration has refused to regulate polluters and has undermined
existing standards -- including protections that were saving more than 10,000
lives, and preventing 130,000 asthma attacks and nearly 5,000 heart attacks a
year.
