In this bi-weekly teaching, Andrew Cohen invites us to explore the subtle and transcendent nature of the true self, recognizing the spirit as the silent witness that exists beyond the confines of mind and body. He reminds us that when we say “spirit is higher,” we acknowledge a perspective that transcends the temporary concerns of daily life, inviting us into a deeper understanding of our place in the cosmic process of becoming. This higher dimension is not distant but is the very core of our being, offering a vision of life that is expansive and interconnected. Cohen also illuminates the concept of non-duality as both an absolute singularity and a developmental continuum. While the ultimate truth is the seamless oneness of all existence, this realization unfolds progressively, guiding us through stages of increasing unity and clarity. By embracing both the eternal and the evolutionary aspects of non-duality, we are called to live a life of awakening, service, and profound transformation, committing to the continual expansion of consciousness.
