Hi — Our
campaign just made a risky decision, and I wanted you to hear about it

Here’s the context: Republicans have launched nasty attack ads against me
to mislead voters and stir up support for my right-wing opponent.

The scary thing is, their strategy may be working.

FOUR recent polls show me statistically tied with Eric Hovde, and
RealClearPolitics just downgraded our race to a “Toss Up.”

If we let the GOP’s misleading attacks go unanswered, Hovde will continue
to surge in the polls and inch ahead in this all-important Senate race.

To fight back, our campaign just launched new ads of our own to set the
record straight.

Let me be clear: this was a risky decision. The money wasn’t originally in
the budget for September, but I gave the green light anyway.

That means we’re facing a budget deficit — and an uphill battle to keep
these ads on the air and reach as many voters as possible across
Wisconsin.

This was a tough call,
team. But I
felt confident taking the risk because I knew I could count on this
grassroots team to step up and have my back.
