My name is Trent Talbot and I'm the father of three young children.
I'm also a doctor... but back in 2021 I knew God was calling me to stop practicing medicine and start doing something to help families confront the lies being forced upon kids in America's classrooms, in media, and even in sports.
I kept coming back to God's command in Joshua 1:9 to be "strong and courageous."
And that's when I founded Brave Books.
I'll be honest -- I didn't really pay attention to children's books until I had my first daughter.
Maybe you're like me and assumed kids were still reading classics you and I grew up with, like Pat the Bunny, Goodnight Moon, and The Little Red Hen.
Wrong. Book publishers are intentionally targeting even preschoolers with books that normalize the LGBTQ+ lifestyle and explicit sexual content, like:
The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish: a "family-friendly celebration of drag" that encourages kids to "work it."
And Prince & Knight: the "premier queer-friendly fairy tale" about a prince who marries a knight instead of a princess.
Yes, these books are on classroom shelves across the country. And yes, you know why: to turn our children away from God and their families.
Brave Books arms pro-God and pro-America parents and grandparents with books that instill in children the strong morals that have been removed from our schools.
If you've heard of Brave Books, then you may know that libraries across the country tried to cancel Hollywood actor Kirk Cameron from reading our books to live audiences -- even though those same libraries held Drag Queen Story Hours!
But we didn't back down. And thousands of moms, dads, and grandparents brought their children to our story hours.
Unfortunately, bravery like that is in short order these days.
Americans whose fathers and grandfathers scaled the cliffs of Normandy and crawled up the sands of Iowa Jima are now scared to speak simple truths, like "men can’t turn themselves into women."
They fear man more than God!
That's why we need to teach our children to be brave.
To know it's worth speaking up and fighting for Truth.
Brave Books will build your children's character, one story at a time.
Every one of our books is rooted in Scripture to teach kids godly values.
And we partner with well-known patriots who love America to write many of our titles, including Kirk Cameron, Bethany Hamilton, Kevin Sorbo, Dinesh D'Souza, Dana Loesch, and others.
Yes, there are still classic books that every child should read. The same ones you and I both grew up on, like Swiss Family Robinson. Johnny Tremain. Little House on the Prairie.
But we here at Brave Books are creating brand-new classics that tackle the big issue today's children are dealing with, like the sanctity of human life, the right to bear arms, the dangers of communism, gender identity, cancel culture, CRT, and many others -- all in a way that is appropriate and fun for kids.
Some of our most beloved titles?
** Little Lives Matter (about the sanctity of life)
** The Island of Free Ice Cream (freedom vs. Communism)
** More Than Spots and Stripes (the dangers of critical race theory)
** Elephants are not Birds (traditional gender identity)
These books will stay with kids throughout their childhood and equip them with a BRAVE spirit to combat the very real battle we face as a nation today.
In fact, 96% of Brave parents say that Brave Books has increased their children's moral development.
More importantly, 83% of Brave parents reported that their children have become closer to them because of Brave Books. Trust me, that’s the statistic the Left hates most of all.
Why? Because our books get families talking and playing together -- and strengthening bonds that the Radicalized Left desperately wants to break.
You and I need to make sure our families are "woke-proof."
By reading Brave Books, your children and grandchildren will:
** Know how to separate God's truth from the lies they hear in school.
** Form a bond with their family that the woke Left will never be able to break.
** And be ready to stand as modern-day Daniels and Esthers in a world that calls "evil good, and good evil." (Isaiah 5:20)
As you can imagine, our pro-God, pro-America mission puts us on a collision course with the culture.
We're already under attack by the same radical progressives who preach "tolerance." Rolling Stone Magazine calls our books "hateful ideology." And Facebook deleted our account with NO explanation -- and only reinstated it after Fox News Digital called to ask why they'd censored us.
That tells you we're right over the target. But we've got to keep growing.
With so much at stake for families trying to raise children in this godless world, would you prayerfully consider partnering with us today by making a $50 contribution to Brave Books?
Unlike huge publishers like Scholastic, Brave Books will never print content that flies in the face of God's commandments... or mocks our nation.
But as we rebuild our culture and arm patriotic parents and grandparents with the tools they need to make sure their kids aren't taught to hate America, your $50, $100 or gift of any amount is vital to our mission-based company.
And your gift of any amount goes straight towards getting more Brave Books into homes all across the United States.
In appreciation of your gift of $100 or more, I'll send you a copy of one of our newest Brave Books. It’s called Happy No Snakes Day and was written by Riley Gaines, the 12x NCAA championship swimmer who was forced to compete against a grown man -- and even change in the locker room with him! Riley is showing girls and boys across the nation how to be brave and tell the truth.
Reading Happy No Snakes Day with your children or grandchildren is one way you can start "woke-proofing" your family. Or donate it to your local library so you can help reach children who aren't growing up in Christian homes.
God says we are to "teach them diligently." (Deut 6:7)
Here at Brave Books we're taking that command seriously. I hope you do, too. Our nation and our families depend on it!
Be brave,
