John,
When we expanded the Child Tax Credit in 2021, families across the nation were able to provide for their children without fear of falling behind. Child poverty was slashed, and the credit helped 36 million families keep food on the table.
But Republicans have blocked efforts to make this change permanent.
Why? Republicans think expanding the Child Tax Credit will disincentivize work. The truth is that most families are doing the best they can, but working hard isn’t enough when you aren’t earning enough.
I’ve co-sponsored legislation to expand the Child Tax Credit again, and I won’t stop fighting until it becomes law. We need a government that lifts people out of poverty, not one that keeps them down.
But to do that, we need to work together. Will you support my efforts to expand the Child Tax Credit with a contribution of any amount to my campaign right now?
