  • Voting rights groups filed a lawsuit today asking the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to protect voters from disenfranchisement and count mail-in ballots that are submitted on time but lack a correct handwritten date on the return envelope during the November election.


  • In a victory for voters, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court dismissed a Republican lawsuit that sought to upend state election law and restrict where voters can return their completed absentee ballots.


U.S. House passes budget bill without SAVE Act

  • The House passed a bill to avert a government shutdown before the election. The passed legislation does not contain the SAVE Act, included in a previous version of the bill by Speaker Mike Johnson (R), which would require proof of citizenship to vote.


Arkansas voters sue county board over early voting access

  • Two Arkansas voters filed a lawsuit alleging Crittenden County election officials are violating state law by refusing to open an early voting site in West Memphis, despite operating a location during previous elections.


Georgia Dems ask Gov. Kemp to hold State Election Board accountable

  • Georgia Democrats sued Gov. Brian Kemp (R) over his failure to take up their ethics charges against three MAGA members of the Georgia State Election Board who passed likely illegal rules upending the state's elections.
