John, Permission slips to check out library books??
That's the work of the resident crazy mom group that spends way too much time on Facebook, Moms for Liberty.
They've got itchy trigger fingers filing lawsuits in every jurisdiction they can – and when a lawsuit gets overturned or dismissed – they just shop around for sympathetic judges and repeat the whole process over again.
Now in some places in Florida and Alabama, kids under 18 must actually get their parents' permission on file to check out school or public library books while those states continue to rank near the bottom in reading comprehension test scores.
They're radical MAGA sycophants – and they've already pledged to spend $3 million dollars to target voters in key swing states using weird culture war fights to bring out anti-gay extremists to the polls.
That's why Movement Labs and our signature program, Contest Every Race, have been out in the trenches in competitive districts across the swing states building infrastructure, supporting Dem volunteers, and running candidates for local office to make sure folks are enthused, showing up, and turning out for Kamala and Tim!
