Dear friend,

When it comes to climate emergencies like storms, droughts, and floods,
emergency preparedness is key to withstanding the impacts of those
disasters.

Mercy Corps takes action to ensure that families are supported every step
of the way. From immediately responding to emergencies and delivering
urgent relief to helping communities recover, a gift from you today makes
all the difference in the lives of families impacted by nature’s
disasters.

In just a second, we will explain to you how much of an
impact a contribution from you today will make. [ [link removed] ]Before we do, will you
make a gift today to help families caught in the midst of crises around
the globe?

Here are three ways your gift can help make an impact for
communities facing extreme weather:

You’ll help invest in emergency preparedness efforts in countries and
regions across the Caribbean: Mercy Corps works with communities to
transform gyms and other facilities into Resilient Hubs with
prepositioned lifesaving supplies to respond to emergencies as quickly
as possible.

You’ll help make sure that essential public resources such as schools,
clinics, and small businesses are able to function as quickly as
possible: In 2020, the Bahamas were struck by Hurricane Dorian and
left a school heavily damaged and without water. Children with mental
and physical disabilities from 5 to 21 who attended that school were
able to return to class. Mercy Corps quickly brought in crucial water
supplies to provide running water and make it possible for students to
be back in school.

You’ll help small businesses recover quicker and more efficiently:
When disaster strikes, small business owners who primarily rely on
agriculture take a heavy hit. Crops are damaged, revenue decreases,
and workers who rely on that income aren’t able to feed their
families. Mercy Corps makes grants available to help small businesses
get back running and accelerate their recovery process.

Before Climate Week ends, support
Mercy Corps to help communities prepare, adapt, and recover from crisis.
