Over the past few weeks, thousands of essential workers at major companies across the country have been fighting for better safety protections, working conditions, and pay during the coronavirus pandemic. And John, our team is honored to stand with them in solidarity for workers’ rights everywhere.

Here on Team Long, we’re proud to work day-in and day-out for a candidate who personally understands the value of protecting our working families and organized labor. As a former union member herself, Carolyn knows firsthand the true value of some of the issues she’s most impassioned about in this race: increased access to affordable health care, protecting Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security, and ensuring that we build an economy that works for all -- not just big corporations. It’s why Carolyn secured a unanimous endorsement from the floor of the Washington State Labor Council just weeks after announcing her bid for Congress.

John, we can’t talk about rebuilding our local economy and lifting up small- and medium-sized businesses hit hardest by the pandemic without first talking about workers’ rights. This pandemic has elucidated what we already knew to be true: Too many working families already live paycheck-to-paycheck. Now, many folks are facing the difficult decision between risking their own health and that of others, or else not being able to make ends meet.
