Subject 53% of voters believe our country is doing okay but the political system is in crisis

AUGUST 14, 2019: Fifty-three percent (53%) of voters nationwide believe that our country is doing okay, but the political system is in crisis. A ScottRasmussen.com national survey ([link removed]) found that another 39% are more pessimistic and believe the country is in a crisis. Finally, 8% don't think either the country or the political system is in crisis.

Most Democrats (53%) believe our country is in a crisis. Most Republicans (67%) and Independent voters (52%) believe the country is okay but the political system is in crisis.

Most men (58%) believe the country is doing okay despite our political system. Women are evenly divided: 48% say the country is doing okay while 46% believe it is in a crisis.
