Hi John,
This National Daughters Day, we’re celebrating the incredible women and parents who inspire us daily.
For many of us, that means teaching our daughters the power of voting. Whether it’s bringing them along to the polls or sharing stories of election experiences — you’re instilling the belief that every vote counts and they can shape their future. Today, we highlight some of the daughters and mothers of When We All Vote who embody the importance of using their voices.

As early as I can remember, she made sure I knew what it means to protect myself and the people I love — and that voting is one important way to do both of those things. My mom is the most important role model and leader in my life, and I am so proud to be her daughter.” — Tatiana Ivy Moise

PHOTO: “Whether it was voting for more funding for my school or our first Black president, my mom had me in the voting booth with her. Before I could vote myself, we were side by side, knocking on doors and organizing rides to the polls with our church. My mom taught me how to show up and step out on faith, to advocate for myself and others, and to dream about the country and communities we can build together. Everything I am and the way I do this work is because I’m her daughter. ” — Ashlynn Profit
PHOTO: “My daughter is my favorite voting buddy, and I've taken her with me to the polls every election so she can experience democracy in action! I'm proud to demonstrate to her that my voice is a superpower, and using it in this incredible way helps create the world I want us to live in. This year, as in all years, I am casting my ballot with her future in mind — one full of opportunity! ” — Samantha Verhey
PHOTO: “As a poll worker, my mom has always led by example, demonstrating the importance of speaking up, moving with confidence, and maintaining integrity. These values shaped my vision for my own life and empowered me to assert my right to vote for the first time in 2012. My voice is, and will always be, my power. I have my mom to thank for that. ” — Nandi Henderson
