Some people watch the news and complain. Other people do something about it. And that’s why we want to make sure you don’t miss your chance to chip in to buy an opinion poll to show politicians that they need to cut their pay.

Since launching our petition ([link removed] ) asking members of Parliament to take a pay cut, over 25,000 taxpayers have signed it. Momentum is building. And now we need your help to push even harder.

Politicians watch public opinion polls closely. A few percentage points one way or the other can change a politician’s policies completely. Normally, we focus on influencing Canadians to impact the polls. But based on our research, we’re betting a huge majority of Canadians today will tell pollsters that politicians should take pay cuts, just like the rest of us.

That is why we need your help. We’re working with a national polling firm to ask Canadians a simple question: should MPs take a pay cut? Scientific polling isn’t cheap: we need to raise $1,100 to put the poll in the field immediately.
