Hi, friend, it's Lt. Col. Alex Vindman, former Director for European Affairs for the United States National Security Council.

You might recognize my name from the news – I exposed Donald Trump’s corruption and testified in Congress, leading to Trump’s first impeachment. But before I get into that, I'm asking you to chip in to Sherrod Brown's campaign to help him win in Ohio and keep the Senate blue.

Let me explain: I used to serve on the White House National Security Council. But in 2019, I witnessed a phone call that would change my life and help set the course for a full-scale war between Russia and Ukraine.

I listened as then-President Donald Trump attempted to extort our allies in Ukraine by withholding military aid unless President Zelensky investigated Joe Biden. I did my duty and reported the scheme.

This ultimately led to his impeachment, but it also ended my 20-year military career. 

I reported on Trump's corruption because it was my duty to protect this nation – and Trump was putting us at risk. Friend, I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Donald Trump is a national security threat. And I'm committed to doing everything I can to stop him and his allies from ever gaining power again.

That starts with electing politicians who are fighting for the people they represent, and not just looking out for themselves. In a battleground state like Ohio, I can't think of a better person to represent working families than Sherrod.

Unlike his Trump-backed opponent, Sherrod is fighting to expand the Dignity of Work, abortion rights, Social Security and Medicare benefits, and more. But right now, political experts are calling him one of the most vulnerable senators on the ballot, in the race that will decide Senate control.

So today, I’m coming to you because I promised Sherrod I’d help him raise $250,000 before midnight tonight so he can win in Ohio, keep corrupt Republicans like his MAGA opponent out of office, and defend our Senate majority. But I can't do it alone.
