More about the film: Sorry to Bother You parodies the hamster wheel of capitalism with a satirical take on the precarity of life as a worker in the gig economy. Cassius Green (Lakeith Stanfield) does whatever it takes to scrape by in Oakland. When he lands a telemarketing job, one of his fellow workers lets him in on his secret technique: use your "white voice" (voiced by David Cross). Cassius quickly ascends out of the pit into the upper echelons of the capitalist network that owns WeWork, a fictional live-work situation that seems closer to a correctional facility than communal living. Directed by Boots Riley and released in 2019.
