This work only happens when we do it together!
Dear John,
As you likely already know, Equality Virginia has been hard at work implementing our Safe Schools campaign over the past few years, striving to ensure that all K-12 LGBTQ+ youth have access to safe and supportive learning environments. But by no means have we done this work alone. We are indebted to our partners, who have put an incredible amount of time and effort into this movement, have led us to some really impactful wins, and have remained tenacious and innovative when we’ve faced losses. In the spirit of celebration and mutual support, we’re highlighting them and their work below:

These organizations have invested hours into monitoring policy, showing up at school board meetings, Virginia Board of Education meetings, and General Assembly hearings, sending out action alerts, providing advocacy resources and trainings, and more. They are amazing strategic players in this work, and their passion and perseverance brings us hope as we continue to climb the hill toward full liberation for all students in all corners of Virginia. Go show them some support by signing up for their email lists, volunteering, and/or donating!
In community,
