Please join me along with other PNW activists and organizations as we warmly welcome Tennessee Representative Justin J. Pearson for a special night in Portland ([link removed]) on Friday.

At this event, Toppling Fossil Fuel Giants: Stories of Community Triumph ([link removed]) , you will learn about the success of Rep. Pearson’s community in defeating the Byhalia Connection Pipeline in Southwest Memphis. You will also hear from local environmental justice advocates about past victories in our region and the fight against Zenith Energy currently underway in Portland.

Rep. Pearson and I will be joined on stage by Allie Rosenbluth from Oil Change International, Kate Murphy from Columbia Riverkeeper, and Elijah Cetas and Karlen Yallup from the Columbia River Intertribal Fish Commission. Portions of the event will be moderated by Oregon State Representative Khanh Pham.

I hope to see you this Friday, September 27 at 7:00 pm at Augustana Lutheran Church (2710 Northeast 14th Avenue) in Portland for this once-in-a-lifetime event ([link removed]) . Doors open at 6:00 pm.
