John, The right to vote is one of the most important privileges we have as Americans. In fact, many Americans have fought and died for this right. Yet we’ve seen that right threatened during the coronavirus pandemic. Some elections have been postponed or switched to vote-by-mail. And worse, we saw that when their primary election was held as regularly scheduled in Wisconsin, people had to make the difficult choice between their health and their right to vote. That’s unconscionable. The stakes for our election in November could not be higher, especially in the midst of this pandemic. But we have to make sure people have the ability to vote safely without putting their life at risk. That’s why I’m asking for you to add your name to this petition demanding all Americans have the right to vote-by-mail. Sign the petition and let’s make our voices heard! We should be working to make voting easier, not harder -- and we also have to keep people’s health in mind. Voting by mail is one of the most effective ways for us to make sure everyone has an easy, accessible way to vote. Otherwise, fewer polling locations might mean folks have to wait in line for hours to vote, putting themselves and poll workers at risk of contracting the virus. No one should have to put their lives in danger to vote. That’s why I’m signing onto this petition calling for all Americans to have the ability to vote-by-mail -- will you join me in supporting this cause? Thank you for taking action!
