I am writing to extend a personal invitation for you and your family to join me at the New York City Council’s annual Hispanic Heritage Month celebration! The event is at City Hall on Wednesday, October 9th starting at 5:30 PM.

We have a great and engaging program of honorees and performances that represent the vast diversity of Latino communities across New York City. Please RSVP below and I hope you will join us in a celebration of our shared heritage and culture.

Do you need help drafting a will, power of attorney or healthcare proxy?

If so, complete this pre-screening questionnaire* by OCTOBER 1, 2024. The New York City Council Speaker, Adrienne Adams, is collaborating with local law schools and pro bono attorneys to offer free estate planning information and consultations, as well as the possibility of having estate planning documents (such as a last will and testament, power of attorney, and/ or healthcare proxy) prepared free of charge for qualified participants.

These documents allow you to express your wishes about how you want your healthcare and property to be handled when you are unable to speak for yourself. If you qualify, you will schedule a time to meet with a supervised student attorney or pro bono attorney at an intake day to discuss your needs. They will guide you through your FREE consultation, and if it is determined that you will benefit from estate planning documents, they will then prepare them for you for FREE.
