Approximately 40% of the global population resides within 100 kilometers (about 62 miles) of a coastline.
Much like the importance of proximity to coastlines for millions of people, NNCP ensures that every North Carolinian, especially those in underrepresented communities, has direct access to civic engagement opportunities.
In the same way that resources shape opportunities in coastal regions, NNCP works to bridge gaps in voter participation and empower Black and Brown communities to take an active role in shaping their futures.
By providing education and mobilization, NNCP brings vital resources closer to the communities that need them most, ensuring no one remains distant from the democratic process.
