Dear
SPUC supporter,
I wanted to share with you an update after SPUC's demonstration at Holyrood yesterday in opposition to the implementation of buffer zones legislation. We were joined by a significant number of supporters, whose presence was enough to turn the heads of onlookers and passers-by. The demonstration has also since had extensive media coverage.
MSP Gillian Mackay’s Abortion Services (Safe Access Zones) (Scotland) Bill, imposes a “buffer zone” of 200m around abortion facilities in Scotland, outlawing pro-life activity within the zone, including silent prayer, and anything said to “influence” women attending the facility.
This draconian legislation was opposed by only one MSP, John Mason. And we were delighted to have him there yesterday to address the crowd.
For an insight into how the demonstration went, please click on the link to the highlights video below.

We will soon be holding a demonstration in the same vein at Westminster, to mark the approaching introduction of buffer zones in England & Wales. We will update you with more details very shortly!
Thank You for all that you continue to do for unborn babies and for families.
Kind regards
Michael Robinson
Executive Director
