Our next General Meeting is on Saturday, September 28th from 12-2pm at Parish Hall (2533 Columbus St) for an afternoon of organizing and discussion, as well as power outage kit packing. Meetings are open to all and you can join in person or online.

UPCOMING EVENTS:
RECAP: Last Month's General Meeting At our August GM, we officially elected Sarah B. as Make Entergy Pay Chair and Aspen W. as Worker Power Louisiana Chair. They will represent the respective campaign/committee on the Local Council. Congrats comrades! Wash F. also discussed the state of COVID in New Orleans and the country as well as updated information. We also started the debate to endorse Gabriela Biro for School Board.
ENDORSEMENT VOTING: We are awaiting the results / Due to Hurricane Francine, Local Council has authorized an additional three days to vote to meet quorum. If you have not voted in the previous ballot, be on the lookout for your ballot from OpaVote.
NOTE: If you want to abstain, please vote “abstain” on the ballot so we can meet quorum. |

We are also receiving supplies for our power outage kits that we will be packing into kits at our General Meeting this Saturday—just in time to debut our mutual aid project at the Sunrise Movement Climate Fair this Sunday.
