Emergency contraception and medication abortion are both safe, effective, and FDA-approved. But they are NOT the same.

Medication abortion can end a pregnancy, but emergency contraception can only prevent a pregnancy from occurring when taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex.

For years, anti-abortion leaders have tried to conflate emergency contraception with medication abortion. So, let’s set the record straight.

In this Reproaction video, we break down the differences between abortion pills and emergency contraception.

Watch to brush up on the differences, and share it with your friends and family to help us fight anti-abortion disinformation.

Sincerely,

Kelli Robinson
