Patriot,
Yesterday, we warned you the House will be voting on a short-term
spending bill to keep the government running at full steam
through the election.
Now, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) is warning House Speaker Mike
Johnson (R-LA) designed this newest scheme to set up a government
funding crisis the week before Christmas.
"Why Christmas? So he can pressure Members to vote for a bill
they haven't read, by using their desire to see their families on
Christmas Eve against them," Massie wrote on X.
He explained further to the House Rules Committee on Monday:
"December 20th is when the leadership has the maximum influence.
They love to pick the week before Christmas for this showdown
because you can smell the jet fuel fumes over [National Airport].
It smells like Christmas.
"I've been in [the meeting room] when literally the Speaker of
the House walks in and says, if you vote for this, you can go
home and unwrap presents with your kids, and if you don't vote
for this, you're going to spend Christmas here with Nancy Pelosi.
And then the chant starts: "Vote! Vote! Vote!"
It's a trap, and House Republicans know it.
They'll pass their continuation of the wasteful, reckless,
fiscally catastrophic budget today . . . and then pass it again,
or something even worse, days before Christmas - when leadership
can threaten to take away Christmas for these selfish congressmen
to push them to vote wrong.
Rep. Massie has put every member of the House on notice. They
either vote against this scheme, or they are fully on board with
it.
Call your U.S. Representative at (202) 224-3121 RIGHT NOW and
tell them to vote NO on Mike Johnson's Budget Trap.
Here is a simple script you can use, if you need one:
Hi, this is [your name] from [your city]. I'm calling to tell the
Congressman to OPPOSE Mike Johnson's Continuing Resolution to
fund the government without any reform for three months.
Our national debt is so high that interest payments are now the
Number 1 Cost our tax dollars pay for. And it's only going to get
worse. Does the congressman not care at all about this? Because
he/she keeps voting for the same thing, again and again.
Even worse, the Speaker is setting up for another budget fight
just before Christmas. That's because he's going to blackmail the
representative not to negotiate or else not get to go home for
Christmas.
This is a cynical, disgraceful manipulation, and if the
Congressman votes for this, he/she must be a willing participant
in the financial destruction of our country.
I will be watching his/her vote very carefully.
If that's a lot to say, just tell them to "vote NO on Mike
Johnson's CR" - they'll know what that means.
Or say whatever you feel like saying. They're your public
servants, after all.
But whatever you do, DO make the call. Call your representative
at (202) 224-3121 and tell him or her to vote NO on the budget
resolution.
After you make the call, if possible, please support C4L with a
contribution to help us mobilize more patriots against Mike
Johnson's fiscal recklessness.

P.S. It's a slap in the face to Americans that we're now paying
more on interest to banks than we are on anything else our
country needs.
And Democrats and Republicans alike are actively pushing us even
harder down this path of demise.
Call your representative at (202) 224-3121 and tell him or her to
vote NO on the continuing resolution and demand they CUT SPENDING
