When I was serving as a Navy Captain, I had a rule for my Officers: Do not eat, sleep, rest, or relax until your Sailors had a chance to do so themselves. 

You see, I believe that real leaders eat last. We put our people first. 

It’s a lesson most politicians in Washington DC could stand to learn. 

For too many years, we’ve been stuck with selfish lobbyists like Tim Kaine who are more interested in promoting their own personal power than doing what’s right by the people they serve. 

I’m on a mission to change that.
