John –
In case you missed it, last week Donald Trump had the nerve to call the U.S. Postal Service “a joke".
More than 600,000 U.S. Postal Service employees have been risking their lives to make sure that Americans are able to send and receive mail, supplies, medications, and much more during this crisis.
And it's clear that these workers are not getting the thanks they deserve.
We can’t count on the President to thank these essential workers. So will you join me in making sure they know how grateful we are for their hard work? I’ve left a note on my mailbox to make sure our postal workers know how much we value the tough work that they continue to do every day. Will you do the same this week?
Here’s my ask: take a picture of your thank you note and share it on social media with #ThanksUSPS. And if you tag me on Twitter (@TomCarperforDE), I will share the pictures so that we can show our postal workers how grateful we are.
So, please help me say thank you to the postal workers who come to our homes six days a week -- in rain, sleet, snow and pandemics. Let's let them know that we appreciate all they're doing and that we have their backs.
Thanks for all you're doing to support each other,
Tom
