In order to vote, register you must!
Friend,

Today is a very special day, that brings us feelings of fantasy, wonder,
and heroes fighting for a brighter future. Of course, I’m talking about
the first day that Nevadans will begin receiving their ballots for the
upcoming 2020 primary elections!

It’s also Star Wars Day. So, we wanted to share some wisdom with you about
how you can ensure your participation in the June 9th primary, especially
with the transition to a vote-by-mail system in the primary.

First, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our [ [link removed] ]2020 VoteSmartNV
nonpartisan voter guide in time for the primary! This easy-to-use, online
resource compiles information and survey responses of each candidate
running for various offices across the state. It also includes
descriptions of each office, and links to the website and social media
accounts of each candidate to find more information. It’s your
one-stop-shop for informing yourself before returning your ballot.

ballot!

It is important to note that the Institute for a Progressive Nevada DOES
NOT ENDORSE! [ [link removed] ]VoteSmartNV.org is a non-partisan website that lists every
candidate's information equally. We created this in an effort to have all
the candidate information in one convenient location.

Second, if you sense a disturbance in the force that your voter
registration may not be up to date (or if you’re not registered at all),
you need to visit [ [link removed] ][link removed] RIGHT NOW. You can
register or update your registration online and still receive your mail
ballot, but DO NOT wait! Registrations after May 21st will only be able to
vote in-person with a provisional ballot. Also make sure that your phone
number and email address on your voter registration are current so the
election department can more easily contact you.

As we navigate participation in our democracy during these unprecedented
times, we want to make sure you have all the information you need to make
an informed decision before voting.

Go out and vote smart, you will!

Annette Magnus
Executive Director

P.S. Please share [ [link removed] ]VoteSmartNV.org! We know that the more information a
voter has the more likely they are to actually go vote. Share on
