We need to refocus on providing a pathway to citizenship for DACA recipients—Dreamers who know no other home but this one.

There are more than 600,000 Dreamers in the U.S. These young people contribute to our economy, serve in our military, and enrich our nation. Yet, they still live in uncertainty, facing the possibility of deportation because our immigration system has failed them.

As a daughter of immigrants, this issue is personal for me. Dreamers deserve the same chance my family had—the chance to build a better future. But extremists are blocking progress, refusing to acknowledge the humanity and invaluable contributions of our immigrant communities.
