<[link removed]>Friend,

One would expect that a company that’s spent most of their time bathing in controversy the last few years would want to avoid negative press and do right by their employees.

But that’s not Boeing.

Right now, more than 32,000 Boeing employees are on strike seeking to reverse decades of wage suppression and disappearing pensions.

Our campaign proudly held the line with them in Seattle last week.

<[link removed]>The union’s demands are very straightforward and deserve our full support. For decades Boeing bosses have been squeezing workers’ pay, demanding higher output and stripping their pensions while dumping millions of dollars into politicians – Democrats and Republicans alike – to loosen regulations and look the other way on their increasingly cataclysmic disasters.

The result?

The 737 Max was rushed to market and safety protocols were widely ignored over the fierce objections of employees who later became whistleblowers. This led directly to two deadly crashes in 2018 and 2019 killing nearly 350 people.

In the wake of the 737 Max disasters, Boeing paid a “fine” that was a fraction of their massive profits and promised to do better, only to be found in default of their agreement with the Justice Department this year.

Since 2019, Boeing has continued to ignore workers’ safety concerns and push for increased production, shortcutting safety procedures and manufacturing standards.

This year alone, Boeing planes have seen door plugs blow out mid-flight, wheels come off during take-off or landing, a tire explode during routine maintenance and kill two workers – and that’s to say nothing of the two astronauts Boeing left stranded in space due to their faulty capsule design.

Through it all, the workers have tried to make Boeing do better. They have continued to work diligently under unrealistic conditions. When they saw substandard parts or missing parts in the assembly process, they spoke up – and repeatedly faced harassment and retaliation.

Boeing remains one of the most profitable companies in the world, the largest aerospace company, and America’s largest exporter by dollar value. They can afford to build safe planes and pay their workers fairly. They choose not to.

I’m here to tell Boeing: Do better, or face the consequences.

Boeing executives have never faced the threat of criminal prosecution. The fines they pay are simply the cost of doing business, and they rest easy knowing that their political benefactors on Team Blue and Team Red will protect them from any real accountability.

That will change under a Stein Ware administration.

The regulators responsible for oversight of Boeing’s serial criminal conduct answer to the president, and you deserve a president who will put public safety ahead of corporate profits every time. Ours is the only pro-worker, pro-humanity, pro-peace and pro-planet campaign that will be on the ballot across the country this November. Can I count on your support to get our movement in front of every voter? <[link removed]>

<[link removed]>DONATE NOW <[link removed]>Until then, we stand firmly with Boeing’s workers and echo their demands for a fair contract.

Last night Boeing put forth what they called their “final offer” – but it isn’t good enough. Boeing can and must do better.

I’ve never taken a dime from corporate PACs or lobbyists, and I never will.

We will fight for publicly financed elections so that their blood money can never be used to buy the silence or complicity of public servants.

We will restore transparency and trust in our government institutions, and we will ALWAYS put people over profits.

In solidarity and gratitude,

Jill
