Dear A.,

Today, one million Israelis were forced into bomb shelters as Hezbollah fired more than 300 rockets and drones at the Jewish state — injuring six Israelis, including a 58-year-old woman and a 61-year-old man, and causing fires and property damage.

Meanwhile, the IDF continued its counterterrorism operation against Hezbollah with precision strikes on the terror group’s munitions stockpiles across Lebanon.

Since Israel launched Operation Northern Arrows yesterday — following 11 months of daily attacks from Hezbollah — more than 1,600 targets in 200 different areas of Lebanon have been hit,

including around 400 medium-range rocket launchers, 70 weapons depots, and 80 drones and cruise missiles. Tens of thousands of Hezbollah rockets and missiles were likely destroyed, primarily in the civilian homes in which Hezbollah had stored them.

Numerous videos show massive secondary explosions at civilian buildings where Hezbollah was storing weapons:

In an interview on MSNBC today, White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan made clear who’s to blame: "Your viewers should remember how this all started. It started because Hezbollah attacked Israel, not because Israel attacked Hezbollah."

"So Israel is trying to send a clear message that it's not going to tolerate a situation where its citizens can't return home, and it is going to try to create an outcome where, in fact, they can — some 80,000 of them," Sullivan added.

Israeli Ambassador to the U.N. Danny Danon reiterated, "We have no desire for escalation with Hezbollah or with Lebanon… As we speak, we continue with diplomatic efforts, but we are also taking measures to degrade the capabilities of Hezbollah so they will not be able to continue to attack Israel."

Israel is combining military and diplomatic pressure on Hezbollah to stop the Iranian-backed attacks that began on October 8, push the terrorist group back, and return the 80,000+ Israelis who have been displaced from their homes for the past 11 months.

America must stand with our ally Israel and ensure it has the offensive and defensive weapons needed to keep its people safe.

Another senior Hezbollah commander killed

Today, the IDF

eliminated the head of Hezbollah’s missile and rocket unit, Ibrahim Muhammad Qabisi, in the heart of Beirut.

Qabisi was responsible for leading missile attacks, predominantly with precision-guided missiles, and was killed in a targeted strike along with several other Hezbollah missile commanders.

Over the past several months, Israel has killed most of Hezbollah’s senior leadership and the leaders of its "elite" Radwan forces that were preparing a cross-border invasion of the Galilee.

Hezbollah’s massive and advanced weapons arsenal

A new

report in The Wall Street Journal highlights Hezbollah’s "massive arsenal of rockets, drones and antitank missiles." With Iranian support, Hezbollah has become "the world’s most heavily armed nonstate paramilitary force."

Moreover, Hezbollah has "accelerated its war preparations in recent months, expanding its network of tunnels in southern Lebanon, repositioning fighters and weapons and smuggling in more arms. Iran has increased supplies of small arms and rocket-propelled grenades, along with guided and unguided long-range missiles."

According to a former Hezbollah military officer quoted in the report, "Everything the Iranians have, we [Hezbollah] have."

Offensive weapons enable Israel to destroy Hezbollah's capabilities before they are used to attack Israelis.

ACTION NEEDED:

Urge your members of Congress to oppose any efforts to block vital weapons shipments to Israel.
