Pres. Shelton, S-T Steffens, CWA workers, Rev. Barber and Sen. Warren discuss how we should respond to the COVID-19 pandemic..

ACTIVIST ALERT

John,

Did you catch our Facebook Live event on Friday? CWA President Chris Shelton, Secretary-Treasurer Sara Steffens and CWA frontline workers spoke about the impact of the pandemic on essential workers, communities of color, and poor communities and how we should respond to this crisis. We were also joined by special guests Rev. Dr. William J. Barber and Senator Elizabeth Warren!

AT&T Telecom Facility Technician Mack Whitaker and EKG Tech and CNA Kevonna Neely spoke about the crucial work they do everyday for our communities and the struggles they are facing at work. And we heard from Patrick Creaven, a Wells Fargo worker and member of CWA’s Committee for Better Banks who stood up to management with his coworkers to demand safety protections and won.

If you didn’t catch it live, you can watch it now here: https://www.facebook.com/CWAUnion/videos/624709908110529

Thanks for tuning in.

In unity,
Beth
