John,
Devastating wildfires and droughts have swept across the United States. These wildfires, which have been exacerbated by climate change, have killed millions of Joshua Trees and studies estimate that nearly 100% of the trees could be lost if we don't act.
The climate crisis is here - and our iconic Joshua Trees are in danger. That’s why we need YOUR help to support our SEEC members in Congress who will fight with everything they’ve got to tackle climate change and protect our environment.
We need to act now, but we can only do so by electing a new green majority in Congress. Will you donate now to support our climate champions this year? [[link removed]]

PROTECT OUR ENVIRONMENT » [[link removed]]Joshua Trees play a vital role in desert ecosystems. The water trapped beneath their bark helps to sustain life and their flowers are a critical source of food and habitation - supporting species such as the Desert Tortoise, Red-tailed Hawk, and Black-tailed Jackrabbit.
The desert’s average temperature has gone up by as much as 3.6°F and rainfall has declined by up to 20% in some areas - increasing the risk for wildfires. These changes will only accelerate in coming years if we don’t act now to tackle climate change head on.
Joshua Trees can take up to 30 years to fully mature and live to around 75 to 300 years old. If we lose them now, they may never recover.
We cannot wait. We must act now to reduce carbon pollution - our Joshua Trees depend on it. Will you donate now to elect more SEEC climate champions who will lead the fight in Congress to protect our environment? [[link removed]]
