Amazon Watch is collaborating to support an open letter to the presidents of Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Peru. The world is watching and we cannot wait for governments to take urgent action to prevent a climate catastrophe. The time to act is now!
In the coming months, affected countries will host key decision-making conferences for the planet, starting with COP16 on the Convention on Biological Diversity in Colombia and then COP30 of the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change in the Amazon region of Brazil.
