John,
Since our campaign went 100% virtual, I've spent so much time talking to and checking in on the folks in my district. And across these conversations, one question continues to come up: "Where is our Representative?"
John, I'm wondering the same thing. The people of NY-16 deserve to hear what their Congressman — or their next Congressman — will do to solve their problems, especially during a time like now.
That's why I've written a letter formally challenging our incumbent Representative, Eliot Engel, to a series of three debates — so voters can hear directly from us before they make their decision on who to vote for. Will you join me and add your name to my letter here?

Right now people are dying every single day, and the dead are disproportionately Black and Latino. Millions of people are out of work, kids are continuing to fall further behind in school, and essential workers don’t have the personal protective equipment they need to do their jobs safely.
But even amid this once-in-a-lifetime crisis, we're still being let down by D.C. lawmakers, including our own Representative.
Now, more than ever, the voters of NY-16 deserve to hear directly from both of us on how we'll work for them in Washington.
Eliot Engel hasn't responded to my challenge, so I'm asking for your help to make sure he hears us. Can you take a few moments to add your name to my letter?
Thanks for your time,
Jamaal Bowman
