Dear Friend of MCV,
Please join us at the Evening for the Environment 2024 to hear Phil Gregory , co-counsel in several youth-led constitutional climate cases, tell the story about how youth prevailed in Montana with a landmark victory for climate justice.
We are thrilled that Mihku Paul, a Wolostoqey visual artist and writer, will perform Msi-te Ktahkomiq Kintaqot, The Whole Earth Resounds. She will lift up Etuapmumk or "two-eyed seeing," a guiding principle for cross-cultural collaboration.
We'd love to see you on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Maine Conservation Voters (MCV) and Maine Conservation Alliance (MCA) biggest event of the year!

Date: October, 17, 2024
Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Location : UNE, Innovation Hall, 772 Stevens Ave, Portland
During the reception from 6-6:45, several Maine-based social justice and/or youth-focused nonprofits will join us with information tables. MCV/MCA envisions a Maine where nature and people thrive through an inclusive, just democracy, a sustainable economy, and equitable access to a healthy climate, land, air, and water. It takes the good work of so many to forward this vision. It is with pleasure that we share space with some of the other organizations doing great work in Maine (see the list below).
Also, the much-anticipated book, What if we Get it Right?, by last year's featured Evening for the Environment speaker, Dr. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson , has been released. We will have her new book for sale during the reception.
We would love to share this exciting evening with you!
Team MCV/MCA - Cathy, Chloe, Gina, Lucy, Kathleen, Maggie, Maureen, Meghan, Nicholas, Nick, Rani, and Stacie
