John, we have to keep talking about the child care crisis.
Over the weekend, the Washington Post put out a powerful article 1 about hardworking parents who can’t make ends meet – because of the cost of child care . It’s a great read if you have time for a coffee break.
If not, here’s the TLDR: Child care costs more than most families’ rent – and it matters to voters.
That’s no surprise to us, of course. When SCAN surveyed swing state voters this summer, 73% said they feel more favorably toward candidates who’d increase child care funding 2 . They expressed similar concerns about hunger, with 67% wanting candidates to boost the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

John, no matter where they fall on the political spectrum, Americans are tired of struggling in this broken system.
Now, it’s candidates’ turn to tell us how they’d fix it.
With the election just 41 days away, vague promises aren’t enough. We’re pushing candidates on both sides to make their positions clear – because voters deserve solid plans and policies.
Sign the petition to demand change: Whoever wins this election must prioritize child care and hunger during their first 100 days as president! [[link removed]]
Thanks for being a voice for kids,
