First, thank you so much for all the positive emails, notes, texts, and calls sending your best wishes for my husband, Paul. I’m so happy to share that Paul has recovered from COVID-19 and has been discharged from the hospital!
For weeks, I’ve listened to those impacted during this crisis – COVID patients, healthcare workers, and so many families whose lives were upended by this pandemic. Hearing from them has shaped my outlook but nothing could have prepared me for this virus to impact my own family directly.
While I’m immensely grateful for the support we’ve received and the positive outcome for Paul, my heart still goes out to all of those suffering. My experience has reinforced my belief that we deserve better from Washington.
