Hi John,

Will you take a minute to sign this petition [[link removed]] to support state PFAS groundwater standards? We need state legislators to take action NOW because people across our state lack access to safe drinking water.

Wisconsin Public Radio just released this article [[link removed]] talking about this urgent need. Take action today >>> [[link removed]]

Thanks,
Peter

Hi John,

As you know, there’s a long list of things we need to do to ensure Wisconsin’s drinking water is safe from PFAS, lead, and agricultural pollution. I spent a good chunk of the past three months meeting with members and coalition partners to discuss what happened (and didn’t happen) in the 2023-24 legislative session, and what that means for our priorities in 2025. The good news: with fair maps, we’ve got exciting opportunities ahead.

One thing I heard again and again is frustration that the Wisconsin legislature is still blocking PFAS groundwater standards. You may have seen in this recent story from WPR [[link removed]] that there are 46 (yes, 46!) proposed groundwater standards facing delays and complications due to pro-polluter legislation that the unconstitutionally gerrymandered legislature passed in 2017.

TAKE ACTION [[link removed]]

Last week, we joined our coalition partners in impacted communities across the state to develop this petition [[link removed]] . We’re telling Wisconsin legislators enough is enough . It’s time for our legislature to stop carrying water for big polluters. It’s time to deliver popular, long overdue public health-based standards for the two thirds of Wisconsinites who rely on clean groundwater to provide drinking water. Will you sign the petition [[link removed]] and help us deliver the message?

Thank you for continuing to fight for a future where every one of our neighbors can turn on their tap and know that it’s free from PFAS, lead, and agricultural pollution.

Thanks for being a conservation voter,
