Dear John:
On Sunday, September 29, NETWORK’s Nuns on the Bus is hitting the road for its first in-person tour in six years. This two-and-a-half-week, nationwide “Vote Our Future” tour is broken into three legs: Philadelphia to Binghamton/Ithaca – September 29 through October 5; Pittsburgh to Chicago – October 5-9; and Phoenix to San Francisco – October 12-18.
Our very own Ana Garcia-Ashley, Gamaliel Executive Director, will be on the bus from Phoenix to San Francisco with a team of Sisters and multi-faith and secular Partners. The tour, focused on “Vote Our Future,” will call on Catholics and All people of goodwill to be multi-issue voters and to protect the freedoms that promote a future of flourishing for all of us. (You can learn more about the riders and follow the tour here.)
Ana is particularly clear about why she has chosen to be part of the tour. As Pope Francis says, “The only future worth building includes everyone.” This tour is about building a fully-inclusive future together through voting.
We will be sending out Nuns on the Bus “Vote Our Future” email and social media updates throughout the trip, but if you are particularly interested in following the tour and Ana’s experience, sign up here.
In solidarity,
Cynthia Jarrold
Gamaliel Sr. Advisor for Funding Strategies and External Affairs
