Hi folks, did you see the update my team shared yesterday? This headline is extremely troubling: 

My opponent is obsessed with cutting benefits for seniors and veterans. He even said in an interview that the plan to cut Social Security and Medicare was “perfect” and that he “couldn’t have asked for anything better.”

Does my opponent realize that 700,000 veterans live here in Virginia? Is he really comfortable turning his back on them? And what about the Medicare and Social Security recipients who rely on government support for their well-being? 

Representing Virginia in the U.S. Senate means representing all Virginians — period. 

I have, and always will, stand for our veterans, our seniors, and our most vulnerable in the U.S. Senate. That’s a promise — and it’s backed up by countless pieces of legislation I’ve sponsored, co-sponsored, introduced, and helped pass over the past two terms. 

Look, this race is closer than it should be. A recent poll had Virginia statistically TIED at the presidential level. So I have to ask: Will you pitch in $20 or more to help me win re-election and deliver a blue Virginia come November?
